[Prompts] - Daddy She Said Daddy

"Scary poem, all in couplets, rhyming or not." - Ted Wilkowski

Daddy She Said Daddy

Mommy stopped moving after Daddy threw her on the floor
Daddy kept walking away after locking up the door

Daddy she yelled Daddy please hurry open up the door
I heard Mommy’s head crack when she fell down on the floor
Daddy’s footsteps came back stomping angry on the floor
She heard him pouring something smelly just outside the door

Daddy she screamed Daddy please hurry open up the door
Mommy’s bleeding and she’s not getting up from the floor

She lay down on her belly and her head lay on the floor
There was a crackle and a shining just beneath the door

Daddy she said Daddy please hurry open up the door
There’s a crackle and a sizzle cooking up the floor

She saw butterflies made of smoke flutter up through the floor
And orange make a flashlight of the handle on the door

Daddy she cried Daddy please hurry open up the door
There’s too many butterflies coming up through the floor

The orange started quickly creeping all across the floor
There was a roaring and a groaning just outside the door

Daddy she coughed Daddy please
She never heard the firemen picking her up from the floor
